Winglore took flight as a passion project, stitched at the crossroads of slow fashion and storytelling. Born not from a fashion school, but from the curious mind of an economist-turned-researcher with a soft spot for embroidery and a serious bug for beauty, Winglore is where climate conversations meet color palettes, and where PhDs meet pretty things.
The name? Think wings, for the flight we all deserve to take, and lore, because what’s life without a little story stitched in? Every Winglore piece is a tale told in thread, blending quirky motifs with traditional embroidery, where crabs can dance on a dupatta and clouds might swirl across a collar.
Behind The Scene
Winglore began with Tanvi, a policy PhD who always felt the pull of something more tactile, more colourful. A quiet yearning to bring together her love for Indian craft, sustainability, and a dash of quirk… into something that felt like a story worth wearing.
Enter Guneet, her biggest cheerleader, numbers guy, people person, and now, chief wingman. What started as moral support soon turned into full-blown belief in the vision.
Together, they built Winglore - a slow fashion label where every thread tells a story, and every product carries a little bit of their heart.

Our Process
We bring the fun, yes. But we also bring the craft. Each piece is slowly made, thoughtfully designed, and lovingly embroidered, by hand or handcrafted using embroidery machines, with hours (sometimes days) of work behind it. It’s our way of staying grounded while letting imagination fly.

Winglore stands for wearable stories with a twist. Rooted in Indian craft but never bound by it, we blend slow fashion with bold imagination. We work closely with artisans, celebrating the charm of hand embroidery and human hands over machines. But what really gives us the thrill? Watching imagined quirks - birds, bugs, hearts, drama - land on rich Indian fabrics and transform into statement pieces. Pieces that spark smiles, start conversations, and travel far beyond wardrobes.
